Raymond J. Tesner, DO
Dr. Tesner is an orthopaedic surgeon specializing in the diagnosis and treatment of sports related injuries. Dr. Tesner went to Penn State University and played varsity football for the legendary Joe Paterno. While at Penn State, Dr. Tesner also played varsity lacrosse.
Dr. Tesner graduated from Kirksville College of Osteopathic Medicine and then completed his orthopaedic surgical residency at Doctors Hospital here in Columbus. He then completed a Fellowship specializing in SportsMedicine at New England Baptist Hospital in Boston. In 1985, Dr. Tesner became the Founder and Medical Director of SportsMedicine GRANT, the first practice in Ohio established specializing in Sports Medicine and being totally devoted to the prevention, treatment, and rehabilitation of sports-related injuries.
Dr. Tesner currently serves as Team Physician for the Columbus Blue Jackets of the National Hockey League, the Columbus Destroyers of the Arena Football League, Ohio University Athletics of the NCAA, and Hilliard Davidson, the 2006 1A State Football Champions! Dr. Tesner also serves as a second opinion consultant to the National Football League.
Dr. Tesner has served as Team Physician for the two-time American Basketball League Champion Columbus Quest. In addition to his work with the Quest, Dr. Tesner has also served as Team Physician for the U.S. Olympic Ski Jump team, the U.S. Olympic Training Center, the U.S. Olympic Nordic Combined Team, the Columbus Xoggz of the U.S. International Soccer League, the Columbus Chill of the East Coast Hockey League, the Columbus Horizon of the Continental Basketball Association, Otterbein College Athletics, and the Columbus Ballet Met.

Randall R. Wroble, MD
Dr. Wroble is an orthopaedic surgeon specializing in the diagnosis and treatment of sports related injuries. He did his undergraduate studies at Cornell University where he played varsity football. Dr. Wroble is a graduate of the University of Illinois Medical School and did his orthopaedic residency at the University of Iowa. Following his residency he completed a Fellowship specializing in SportsMedicine at Cincinnati SportsMedicine. Dr. Wroble joined the staff at SportsMedicine GRANT in 1992. Dr. Wroble is a fellow of the American College of SportsMedicine, a Member of the American Orthopaedic Society for SportsMedicine and the Arthroscopy Association of North America. Dr. Wroble is board certified by the American Board of Orthopaedic Surgery.
Dr. Wroble currently serves as Team Physician for the Columbus Blue Jackets of the National Hockey League, Ohio University Athletics, U.S.A. Wrestling, Grove City High School and Olentangy Liberty High School.

B. Rodney Comisar, MD
Dr. Rod Comisar is an orthopaedic surgeon who graduated from Harvard University where he played football and rugby. He then graduated from the University of Cincinnati College of Medicine. Dr. Comisar completed his Orthopaedic Surgery Residency at Northwestern University Medical School and followed that up with his Sports Medicine Fellowship at the Baylor Sports Medicine Institute.
Dr. Comisar joined SportsMedicine GRANT & Orthopaedic Associates in the fall of 2000 and works as a Team Physician for the Columbus Destroyers of the Arena Football League, the Columbus Blue Jackets of the National Hockey League, Denison University of the NCAA, Ohio University of the NCAA, and Pickerington North High School. Dr. Comisar is board certified by the American Board of Orthopaedic Surgery and recently received a Subspecialty Certification in Sports Medicine.

Robert A. Fada, MD
Dr. Robert Fada is a board certified and fellowship trained orthopaedic surgeon who specializes in total joint replacement and revisions of the knee and hip. Dr. Robert Fada received his Bachelors of Science degree from the University of Pittsburgh in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania where he played varsity football with the legendary Dan Marino and many other notable NFL players.
In 1983, he was drafted by the Chicago Bears of the National Football League and held a starting position as a rookie. He then played for the Kansas City Chiefs from 1985 to 1986. He left professional football to pursue a medical career.
Dr. Fada received his medical degree from the University of Pittsburgh and completed his residency in orthopaedic surgery at the University of Pittsburgh Medical Center. He completed postgraduate fellowship training in Reconstruction of the Adult Hip and Knee with the worldly renowned, Dr. Thomas H. Mallory of Joint Implant Surgeons, Columbus, Ohio and the Ohio Orthopaedic Institute.
Dr. Fada was in private practice with Joint Implant Surgeons from 1997 to 2001 when he SportsMedicine GRANT & Orthopaedic Associates as the Director of Joint Replacement and Revisions. Dr. Fada is a member of the American Academy of Orthopaedic Surgeons, the Columbus Orthopaedic Society, and the Franklin County Academy of Medicine. Dr. Fada is board certified by the American Board of Orthopaedic Surgery and is a Fellow of the American Academy of Orthopaedic Surgeons.

F. Paul DeGenova, DO
Dr. Paul DeGenova is a board certified and fellowship trained orthopaedic surgeon who specializes in reconstructive spine surgery. He received his Bachelor’s degree from Youngstown State University in Youngstown, Ohio. After receiving his Doctorate of Medicine from Ohio University’s College of Osteopathic Medicine, Dr. DeGenova completed a Residency in Orthopaedic Surgery at the Dallas/Fort Worth Medical Center, Grand Prairie, Texas. Dr. DeGenova then completed a Fellowship in Reconstructive Foot and Ankle Surgery at the University of Texas Southwestern Medical Center at Dallas, Dallas, Texas.
To expand his orthopaedic knowledge and pursue an interest in spine, Dr. DeGenova completed a Fellowship in Reconstructive Spine Surgery in Louisville, Kentucky. Dr. DeGenova now leads the Spine Care and Surgery service for SportsMedicine GRANT & Orthopaedic Associates. Prior to joining SportsMedicine GRANT & Orthopaedic Associates in 2003, Dr. DeGenova practiced general orthopaedics in Lancaster, Ohio for ten years.

Gary M. Millard, DO
Dr. Gary Millard is a board certified and fellowship trained orthopaedic surgeon who graduated from the University of New England College of Osteopathic Medicine in 1995 and completed an AO ASIF Trauma Fellowship at Tampa General Hospital, Florida in 1999. Dr. Millard then completed a Hand Surgery Fellowship at Baylor College of Medicine in Houston, Texas in 2001. Dr. Millard recently joined SportsMedicine GRANT & Orthopaedic Associates in 2007 and heads our Hand Care and Surgery Division and is the Director of Hand Surgery at Grant Medical Center, Columbus, Ohio.
Dr. Millard is a Consulting Team Physician for the Columbus Blue Jackets of the National Hockey League, the Columbus Destroyers of the Arena Football League, and Ohio University of the NCAA. Dr. Millard has also been an instructor and a lecturer at numerous national conferences on hand and upper extremity surgery.

Thomas A. Rossi, MD
Dr. Tom Rossi is a board certified and fellowship trained physician who specializes in the non-surgical treatment of sports-related injuries, Physical Medicine & Rehabilitation, and Electrodiagnostic Medicine. A graduate of The Ohio State University and The Ohio State University College of Medicine, Dr. Rossi first became involved with SportsMedicine GRANT & Orthopaedic Associates in 1995 during his post-graduate fellowship training in Sports Medicine at Grant Medical Center. In addition to his training in sports medicine, Dr. Rossi completed a residency in physical medicine and rehabilitation in 1995 at The Ohio State University. Terrence M. Philbin, DO
Dr. Terry Philbin is a board certified and fellowship trained orthopaedic surgeon specializing in Foot & Ankle Care and Surgery. He is a native of Barrington, Illinois and received a B.S., Cum Laude from Millikin University in 1989. After completing medical school at Midwestern University in Chicago in 1994, Dr. Philbin completed his orthopedic surgical residency at Ohio University - Doctors Hospital in 1999. He then traveled to Cleveland for an Orthopedic Foot and Ankle Fellowship at the Cleveland Clinic.
After his fellowship, Dr. Philbin started private practice in Portland, Maine and was assistant clinical professor of surgery on the staff of the University of New England. He was also the Assistant Team Physician for the Portland Pirates, an American Hockey League affiliate of the Washington Capitols.
Dr. Philbin currently is the Medical Director of the Foot and Ankle Division at Grant Medical Center. He serves as Clinical Assistant Professor at The Ohio State University Medical Center and is a consulting physician for the Columbus Blue Jackets, Columbus Destroyers, Ballet Met, Ohio University and The Ohio State University athletic programs. Dr. Philbin also currently serves as a team physician for Olentangy Liberty High School.
Dr. Philbin has published numerous articles and has lectured nationally on the care of foot and ankle problems.
